Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Codiev — the website, web workspace, Studio sync plugin, and hosted API at codiev.com. Private beta software is provided as-is. If you cannot accept that, do not use it.

Private beta

Early access is invite-only. Features will change. There is no uptime promise and no obligation to keep a particular plan, price, or model provider working. Windows builds may be unsigned. Install only from a channel we give you.

Accounts

You must use an email you control. Website login is separate from the desktop app. The desktop app, when it ships, signs in with a Codiev password you set on this site. You are responsible for that password and for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the API, share seats, or attempt to extract the hosted brain prompt.

Plans and payment

Creating an account does not unlock the brain. BYOK and Pro are paid seats billed through Stripe. The amount charged is the Stripe Checkout price for that plan — this site does not print a dollar figure. When you use your own key, your model provider bills inference to your provider account. Codiev Metis on Pro spends Watts from your Codiev wallet instead. Billing or refund questions: support@codiev.com.

Your content and keys

You keep ownership of your games, Luau, and prompts. You grant Codiev a limited license to process chat and tool context solely to provide the brain for you. You must have the right to send that content. Do not send secrets you do not want a model provider to see.

Provider keys you paste stay in your OS credential store or this browser’s session storage. For BYOK brain chat they transit our API for that turn so we can call your provider with our prompt. We do not store that key. We do not spend your provider credits on Codiev’s own jobs. Codiev Metis keys stay on our API and never reach the client.

Software licenses

• The Codiev desktop client is licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later. Invited testers may request source for the build they received. We will publish source when we leave private beta.
• The hosted brain, prompts, and API are proprietary. You may not scrape, reverse, or republish them.
• Studio sync runs on your machine. Do not expose it to other people or to the public internet.

Acceptable use

• Do not attack Codiev, our service, or other users.
• Do not use the product for malware, fraud, or content Roblox forbids.
• Do not resell access or share one seat across a studio without a plan that allows it.
• Rate limits and plan gates are part of the service. Do not bypass them.

Disclaimer

Codiev is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness, or non-infringement. AI output can be wrong. Review diffs before they land in your place. We are not liable for lost games, lost keys, provider bills, or downtime, except where the law says we cannot limit that. If a limitation is not allowed where you live, it applies to the maximum extent permitted.
